Magic DVD Ripper is an easy to use DVD ripping software, which will help you convert DVD to VCD, SVCD and AVI(DivX) formats or backup DVD to hard drive by copying full disc, main movie, or splitting a DVD 9 disc into 2 DVD 5 discs. It also allows you to convert your movies to different formats like: AVI, WMV, MP4 in profiles that include: Frame rate, Volume, Resolution, Video and Audio Codecs, Video and Audio Bitrate.

To backup a DVD you just have to Launch the application and click the Backup tab, Insert your DVD, Choose the copy option you prefer (whole disk, main movie, or split) and press the "Start" button to start ripping.

If you want to convert your movie to a different format, you have to click the Convert tab, Insert your DVD into your DVD-ROM drive, choose title, audio and subtitle. You can also select a clip to rip, or multiple titles, then choose a profile (like iPod or PSP), select destination folder and file name and press the "Start" button.

This application works, its features are limited (no DVD player, or burner software included), but if you only need to extract movies to your hard drive or convert DVD to the most common formats, this program should be enough.
